To travel to Graceland is to visit the home of one of the greatest names in entertainment history, Elvis Presley. It’s an experience that many Elvis fans consider the greatest trip they could ever take and it’s worth nearly any cost to them. Graceland has been preserved as a sort of shrine to the late king, but what can you expect when visiting his home? Here are just a few of the great pleasures of Graceland.
1.) Experience Where Elvis Spent His Free Time- Inside the Graceland Mansion you will see the same living room where Elvis watched TV and ate his peanut butter and banana sandwiches. You will also see the rooms where Elvis would compose and listen to music and well as his kitchen and other recreational rooms such as the game room complete with pool table.
2.) The Memorobilia Room- Perhaps no room will be as much a pleasure to visit as Elvis’ memorobilia room. Indeed, this is the room where fans will see gold and platinum records as well as various mementos that span from the early days of his career to the final days in 1977.
3.) The Meditation Garden- If the memorabilia room isn’t enough to move fans to tears, then the Garden is sure to do this trick. The Meditation Garden is the final resting place of not only Elvis himself, but various family members as well.
4.) The Car Museum- As Elvis fans well know, the king was quite an avid car fan and collector. In fact, Graceland museum is still home to almost 35 original Elvis cars preserved for the viewing public.
It is a rare Elvis fan who will be dissatisfied with their trip to Graceland. It simply has everything an Elvis fan could want to feel closer to the king, and to feel that they experienced a little bit of life as her knew it.
